The world’s 1st biocarbon certified by the Sustainable Biomass Program to comply with the REDII framework

Biocarbon is an essential feedstock for the environmentally friendly production of important raw materials such as silicon, ferroalloys, steel, and chemicals, as well as a superior renewable fuel for producing clinker and lime.

To demonstrate the sustainable sourcing of SOLER biocarbon in sectors regulated by the EU Emissions Trading System, the SOLER Group has achieved certification for its production sites through the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP).

This certification confirms that SOLER biocarbon’s supply chains meet and exceed the sustainability criteria for biomass outlined by the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive (REDII).
